The temptation to quit, to give up, can be very strong.
But we’re far stronger.
Today was cold, and I had a lot of work to do. Fingers going numb, sore muscles, mild discomforts and the like all working together to make for a long and trying day.
In reality, not that bad.
But it’s at those times when you feel like you’ve got it, that you can handle whatever life throws at you, that giving in to temptation to give up, to take it easy, to back off whatever you’re pressing into, whatever you’re pushing towards, is uniquely powerful.
There is no chance we will give up. Nothing will satisfy us until we achieve our goal, but that is because we have made a practice of endurance. Daily habits of success and overcoming.
That’s why enduring today was easy, comparatively, because that is what we do.
