With all the late nights, early mornings, stress, mental and physical excersions, one would ask, why I am doing what I am doing.
Personally, there are a lot of reasons. One of the main ones is, I am a worker, I have been for years.
These are my people. I know what it is to endure the scorching heat of summer. I know what it is endure the bitter cold of winter. I know what it is to crawl into bed, utterly exhausted after a long day of hard labor.
For me, this is deeply personal.
But that said, there is a moral element for why I believe that an axiomatic change must occur in how workers are related to their labor.
The worker is worth their wages. One should not muzzle an ox while it treads the grain, nor should the wages of the hired hands be withheld till the next day.
The relationship between workers and their labor in our time is beyond flawed.
What we at the Volk App Project propose is to build a platform for the working class, through Blue Collar Technology. We are currently executing on that theory, and thus far, it works.
We have adopted a model of validated learning, wherein we test and verify each assumption and gather data to support each decision.
And though we are data driven, our hearts are with our people, our families, our loved ones, our fellow workers, our fellow Americans.
